By using Free Online Protractor ("the tool", "the site"), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, the only requirement is that you stop using the site — there’s no account to close and nothing else to undo.

Free Online Protractor is a free, browser-based angle-measuring tool. Sensor mode reads your device’s motion sensors to display a live angle reading; Manual mode lets you set an angle by dragging a ray or slider on any device. No account, download, or payment is required to use either mode.

This tool is built for everyday tasks: framing, hanging art, checking a ramp or roof pitch, or studying geometry. It is not a certified or calibrated measuring instrument, and its readings can be affected by the device, case, sensor quality, surface, and calibration.

Do not rely on it for safety-critical, structural, medical, legal, or regulatory-compliance measurements. Verify anything where an incorrect angle could cause injury, property damage, or a compliance failure with a calibrated physical instrument.

Use the site for its intended purpose — measuring and practicing angles. Don’t attempt to disrupt the service (e.g. excessive automated requests), attempt to bypass any access or security measure, or use the site in a way that violates applicable law.

The site’s design, branding, text, and code are the property of its operator except where noted otherwise. Using the tool to measure an angle doesn’t grant any license to copy, redistribute, or rebrand the site itself.

The tool is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. Browser sensor support, permission prompts, and behavior vary by device and are outside this site’s control.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of this site is not liable for any damages — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from use of, or inability to use, the tool, including damages resulting from relying on a measurement it produced.

The site, its features, and these terms may be updated at any time without prior notice. Meaningful changes to these terms will update the "last updated" date below. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.

These terms are intended to be interpreted fairly and don’t override any statutory rights you have as a consumer under the law that applies to you. Where a specific governing-law or venue clause would otherwise apply, nothing in these terms is intended to waive protections you’re entitled to under your local law.
